All our clinicians are registered with the appropriate regulatory bodies such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). The team is made up of a diverse group of professionals who each bring a range of skills and experiences in their specialist areas meaning that the most appropriate clinician with the right skill set to meet your specific and individual needs can be identified giving you confidence and peace of mind when instructing McLaughlin Psychological Services. OUR ETHOS

At McLaughlin Psychological, we believe that every individual is unique and that we all fall on hard times at some stage in our lives, often through no fault of our own. Our relationships with our clients and those we work with is absolutely central to the work we do, recognising the importance of getting to know those we support, their needs, and building trusting relationships so that together we can understand more about you and your experiences and not simply the ‘problems’ you are dealing with.

By better understanding what has happened to a person as opposed the traditional and more medicalised view of ‘what’s wrong with them’ we believe we can empower those we work alongside to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. We appreciate that every behaviour is underpinned by our emotional experiences and underneath those emotions lie a need that is important. By connecting to our needs and emotions and not the behaviour real healing can take place!
